Albán Brothers

After their parents’ divorce, the identical twin brothers moved to Venezuela in 2012. Their home burned down in times of riots and violence following the death of Hugo Chávez and the rise to power of Nicolas Maduro.

As a result, they moved to a remote town called Urica, where the river overflowed, and lived without access to basic necessities such as water, electricity, or natural gas. The escalating violence forced the twins to move back to Colombia in 2014 but had to leave their mother trapped behind because her passport expired.

The Albán Brothers wrote “Order” inspired by their desire to reunite with their mother and self-published in Colombia in 2022.
